So an update from the last time i blogged, a lot has happened out here so i guess i have a lot to write about. The last thing i mentioned was going out to Staten Island, so i'll start from there. Upon arriving in Staten island, we played the yankees short season team for 3 games. We took 1 outta 3 from them, which is good for us. I pitched in one game down there, and didn't do very good at all. I went 4 innings, gave up 6 runs and 8 hits, but i struck out 5. Even though i didn't get the results i wanted, i felt that i pitched the best i had since coming out here. The real fun in the trip was going into Manhattan and exploring the city of New York. It was a lot of fun and i got to go see a lot of cool places like Times Square and Ground Zero. I took a bunch of pictures that are on my facebook if you wanna see those.
After that we came back home, played a few games, then went to Mahoning Valley where i threw 3 innings of relief, and only gave up 1 run, even though it should've been 0. After we took 1 outta 2 from there we came back home and lost the next 3 games. Yesterday we played against the Mets SS team, and i came in to pitch again. I went 2.1 innings and only gave up 1 hit and no runs or walks. Even though i only had 1 strike out i felt like my normal self. After the State Island outing i've started to get back into my rhythm. It's getting easier for me to pitch and i feel more like myself. I'm really starting to have a lot more fun out here. Also while here i turned 21, but i still haven't been able to go out because we play all the time.
Tonight's game was a pretty crazy one. We took an early lead, gave it up, then tied it, then gave it up and eventually lost. The craziest part though, was that we cleared benches and almost got into a brawl. Our pitcher threw inside to try to freeze the guy, but it got away from him, and it hit the batter. The batter got pissed and said something, like he did it on purpose. Then they both started walking towards each other and the umpires jumped in the middle, and that's when the benches flooded onto the field. It was a pretty crazy experience, and was pretty interesting. The hitter was an idiot, because why in the hell would we hit someone when it's tied and in the 9th? Anyways my ps3 came in today so i'm gonna start playing that. I'll update it again soon.
PS. The name of the blog is a song. I can't stop listening to it.
You're so great, bubbs. Thanks for all the updates! You fit a lot into this post! Love you. Super proud of you.
